Maria (she/her) joined the DFX team as insurance coordinator in 2025. She has over 15 years of experience in hospital and professional billing. Having worked in healthcare settings ranging from big hospitals to small specialty clinics, she has a vast knowledge of insurance processes. Maria loves helping people understand how insurance works and how they can take advantage of all the benefits available to them. As a mother with a son who was diagnosed with Autism, she knows first hand how overwhelming it can be having to deal with the financial part of everything – she is excited to use her skills and experience to help other parents navigate through that process!

In her free time, Maria enjoys spending with her kids, nieces, and nephews; doing arts and crafts projects; and baking for her family. She also loves to watch sports and going to football, basketball, and baseball games.
