Bella Bankstahl

BA, Psychology Extern

Bella (she/her) joined the DFX team in July 2026 and is excited to have the opportunity to work with families at Developmental FX.

Bella is a Clinical Psychology doctoral student at the University of Denver with experience providing assessment and therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, parenting teams, and families. Her clinical training has focused on supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD, Autism, and specific learning disabilities, through comprehensive psychological assessments and social skills groups. She has provided individual therapy to young adults as well as family therapy, helping clients navigate life transitions, relationships, and emotional or behavioral challenges. She has also worked in applied behavior analysis (ABA), implementing behavior support plans and helping
children build communication, social, and daily living skills.

Across her training experiences, she has worked in outpatient clinics, university counseling, private practice, and multidisciplinary healthcare settings. These opportunities have strengthened her skills in building trusting relationships, collaborating with families and providers, and creating individualized recommendations that support each client's unique strengths and needs.

Bella especially enjoys working with children and adolescents who are neurodivergent or are experiencing challenges related to attention, learning, emotional regulation, anxiety, or social skills. She aims to create a warm, supportive environment where children feel understood, and families feel empowered throughout the assessment and therapy process. She hopes to create a space where people feel safe enough to trust, open enough to sit with their discomfort, challenged enough to grow, and hopeful enough to cultivate their own resilience.
