Brooke O'Drobinak

Director

Brooke O’Drobinak, M.A., believes that human relationships are at the heart of school and work communities. Her work focuses on issues pertinent to K-12 education, including leadership, school culture, professional learning, and overall well-being. She believes that cultivating conditions in which adults in learning communities can meaningfully focus on students is essential to leadership.

Working closely with schools and districts in Colorado and nationally, and most recently as a leadership consultant and as Director of Leadership and Strategic Impact for the Denver-based Public Education and Business Coalition, she focuses on building effective systems, structures, and learning cultures. Prior, she served in district administration in Aurora Public Schools and in school administration at Arrupe Jesuit High School for fifteen years.

She is the co-author of the book "Teaching, Learning, and Trauma (6-12): Responsive Practices for Holding Steady in Turbulent Times" (Corwin, 2021). This body of work defines an integrated approach to student learning by weaving together effective mental health practices with teaching and learning. Brooke joined the DFX board of Directors in December 2025.
